With reference to Lord Milner's despatch

No.446 of the 22nd December, 1920, I have the honour to inform you that Inspector Brazil's retirement should take effect from the 17th January, 1921.

The pension amounts to £189, 11s. 8d. per

annum, and the following note has been added to the Pension Papers, a copy of which has been forwarded to the Crown Agents for the Colonies:-

In the event of the revised scheme of pensions now under consideration coming into force the pension payable to inspector Peter Brazil will be calculated according to that scheme, provided that the sum total of pension so assessed shall not be less than that provided under the existing rules.
